The strength of the Big East is basketball and that is the main reason they should want Temple.
Temple University has been a hot button topic when discussing Big East expansion. Lately it seems like the team has gotten lost in the shuffle but ESPN writer Andy Katz believes that Temple should be a priority for the Big East. Katz cites the fact that the Big East was founded on basketball strength and they should not forget that to simply boost football.
I tend to agree with Katz. Temple would be a huge asset for the Big East. They would be acquiring a school with the potential to win in two sports and which is settled within the fourth largest media market in the nation.
Big East Commissioner John Marinatto is making a huge mistake if he forgets about the Owls.
Lesean Mccoy has been one of the best backs in the NFL this season.
